Getting from the CDG airport to the center of Paris isn’t as difficult or costly as you might think. Using the transportation system of Paris like the metro in Paris or the other facilities that the town has to give means that you will be in Paris in no moment.
CDG Airport to Paris city centre by train
This is the cheapest way to reach the town of Paris and is your best choice on a budget journey to Paris. You can take the suburban RER B train that departs from the airport’s Terminals 1 and 2. Follow the signs at the airport saying “Paris by train / RER B” after exiting the arrival hall. You can buy a ticket just before you enter the station from the ticket machines that are mounted.

The train goes through the centre of Paris at stops at the following stations- Gare du Nord, Chatelet-Les Halles, Saint Michel-Notre Dame, Luxembourg, Port Royal, Denfert-Rochereau, Cité Universitaire. You can take the metro from any one of these stops to get to your final destination. The journey can take from 45 minutes to an hour.

CDG Airport to Paris city centre by bus
Roissy Bus

Another low cost way to get to Paris is by taking the Roissy bus that connects Charles de Gaulle airport to Opéra town centre. Follow the signs at the airport to take the bus which says “Paris by bus/Roissy Bus”. Once you’re at the right stop, you’ll see a ticket buying vending machine.

From here you can switch to the metro at Opéra (lines 3, 7 or 8) to get your destinations
Le Bus Direct
LE BUS DIRECT: Another bus you can take is Air France’s Le Bus Direct. Le Bus Direct tariffs are all inclusive, there are no hidden fees or surprises-in the picture below you can see the tariff cost. There are four different lines that can take you closer to the place you need in Paris, and even one that takes you directly to the airport in Orly.
Lines 2, 3 and 4 stop at Terminal 2E and 2F and Terminal 1 and you can purchase tickets from the machines nearby the stop or you can purchase them online.
The bus has free wifi, USB charging points as well as a free luggage service.
CDG Airport to Paris by taxi
You can also bring a personal taxi to Paris city from the airport. The signs to the taxi stand are well placed throughout the airport and you have to wait for a taxi in the line. The prices have been updated in 2016 and there is now a flat rate to the town from the airport.
